Festive Networking and Appreciating the Arts

Friday 15 December 2023 0800am

Wokingham Positive Difference Christmas Networking

In Person Event at The Town Hall, Wokingham

Come along to ‘Wokingham Positive Difference’ on Friday 15 December for a festive networking event with a focus on the Arts, musical performances, and festive food.  A chance to catch up with familiar faces before Christmas and mingle with new visitors from the arts and culture sector.

This month we are pleased to have as our key note speaker, Charlotte Haitham Taylor, co-founder and chair of Arts4Wokingham, a new charity, which was set up to encourage public art throughout Wokingham Borough, making it accessible to everyone in the community, regardless of circumstance.

Charlotte is an artist and began her career at Sotheby’s and the London dealer Richard Green Fine Paintings. She is a former Leader of Wokingham Borough Council. In addition she was a Director of the Thames Valley Local Enterprise for four years and latterly led on the regeneration of Wokingham Town.  This gives her a unique perspective and understanding on the synergy between business and the arts.

Her talk highlights steps Arts4Wokingham are taking to change the cultural landscape in the borough, on the value of art in our community, and the benefits of supporting public art and culture

There will be contributions from musicians, art charities and an opportunity to provide news and updates from attendees in ‘ From the Floor’ slot.

The event includes a delicious buffet breakfast (bacon rolls, pastries, fresh fruit, etc – maybe even a mince pie!), news updates from the team, local businesses, government, and community groups in addition to our keynote session.
